Ohio Creates Office of Small Business Relief

The State of Ohio has recently created the Office of Small Business Relief to identify and provide direct support to small businesses during the COVID-19 public health crisis.

From the Columbus Dispatch:

The Office of Small Business Relief operates within the Development Services Agency. It will serve as Ohio’s designated agency for administrating federal recovery funds awarded to the state for small business support and recovery.

Beyond that, the office will work with federal, state and local partners to determine possible regulatory reforms that will encourage employment and job creation. It also will coordinate efforts of Ohio’s Small Business Development Centers and Minority Business Assistance Centers.

Other states are also helping businesses navigate the multitude of new programs. In Arkansas, similar resources are available through the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center and the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.
